Who you work with#
Atria Foundation, described in Brief 12. Its Education pillar already runs skilling and placement through the Atria Mega Skill Centre, which has trained over 4,000 people and placed around 620 with employers. That is the same shape of problem at the other end of a working life.
As with Brief 25, the brief is built on one paragraph of intent. Establish the rest yourself.
The situation#
People in India’s organised sector typically retire around 58 to 60, and then live for decades. Many of them are highly skilled, have run teams, solved problems and know an industry from the inside.
Some want to keep working. Not all of them on the old terms: fewer hours, no commute, no travel, something that fits around health or caring for a spouse.
What is going wrong#
That experience mostly goes unused. The people who want work cannot find the right work, and the constraints they come with — part-time, remote, flexible, no heavy travel — are exactly the ones ordinary job platforms handle worst.
Skills and Expertise#
- Branch — CS and IT. Suits students who want product and research work more than heavy engineering.
- Technical skills — Matching and recommendation logic, accessible interface design for older users, lightweight backend, privacy-aware data handling.
- Other skills — Interviewing on both sides of a market, testing a demand assumption before building, accessibility, reporting a conclusion the sponsor did not expect.
